Spitalfields Arts Market will be run by Londoners affected by homelessness for seven days from Monday. The market will be filled with paintings and photographs from dozens of artists who are homeless or have recently been homeless. The project is run by homeless enterprise Café Art who will also be launching the 2018 MyLondon calendar in the market at lunchtime on Tuesday, World Homeless Day.

An exhibition of stunning shots of East London by a group of Cafe Art MyLondon photographers who have experienced homelessness is due to open in Qbic hotel next week. The photographers were commissioned by the hotel to fill the hotel with images of the local community, with stunning results.

Every year Cafe Art, a small social enterprise in East London, holds a contest with disposable cameras. The goal is to empower people affected by homelessness - to give them skills, confidence and eventually to earn some money by selling the photos and the annual MyLondon calendar. 100 Fujifilm disposable cameras were given out at St Paul's Cathedral, and the images are ready now.

Cafe Art is supporting a new venture in Turnpike Lane, north London which will employ people affected by homelessness. Run by Shine Enterprise Centre, the public are being asked to support the cafe by pledging money in a crowdfunding campaign at www.spacehive.com/shine-cafe. They hope to raise £30,000 to set up the cafe.

100 disposable cameras will be given to homeless people at St Paul's Cathedral on Friday 30 June. The MyLondon photography project runs over five days, is to empower people affected by homelessness and results in an exhibition and calendar. Run by Cafe Art and The Royal Photographic Society, it has inspired similar projects in Budapest, Sydney, New Orleans, Sao Paulo and Toronto.

Simultaneous photography exhibitions by people affected by homelessness are being held in London, Sydney, New Orleans and Budapest on World Homeless Day - Monday 10 October. In the evening they will connect with the Budapest project by Skype, where they are launching the MyBudapest 2017 calendar.

Not only is Spitalfields Arts Market filled with homeless people's art from Monday morning, World Homeless Day, but they're launching the MyLondon calendar to celebrate London. MyLondon will be launched at 1pm in the middle of the market. Produced with 99 single-use cameras, the calendar is a love letter in photos to the city. Everyone involved is affected by homelessness.

In July this year 105 FujiFilm single-use cameras were handed out, with the theme "My London". Training on how to use the cameras was given by The Royal Photographic Society [The RPS] in June, and again on the day of the handout. The Cafe Art 2017 MyLondon calendar is a social enterprise initiative for London homelessness art groups and individuals who have been affected by homelessness.

The Royal Photographic Society is showing three photography exhibitions dealing with different aspects of homeless during April. The RPS has secured The Magic Gallery in Charing Cross underground station and is working with different photographers to present their work in an area of London that supports a large homeless population.

One hundred homeless people will receive cameras in a three-day photography contest at St Paul’s Cathedral on Friday 3 July. The theme of the contest is ‘My London’ and is being run by the social enterprise for people affected by homelessness, Cafe Art.
